Admission Practices

As an affiliate of the National Association for College Admissions Counseling, TACAC upholds the ethical standards put forth in NACAC's Guide to Ethical Practice in College Admission. The TACAC Admission Practices Committee is responsible for educating membership about the various components of the guide and encouraging best practices to remain student-centered in our profession. 

"NACAC’s Guide to Ethical Practice in College Admission is the conscience of our profession. It can guide our actions in the face of current and emerging pressures. It empowers us to build trust and find common ground while we work to ensure that every student’s dignity, worth, and potential are realized in the transition to postsecondary education. Questions concerning the professional ethics and standards of conduct for admissions and secondary school members should be shared with the co-chairs of the AP Committee.

We have committee members across TACAC who are trained and knowledgeable about the new guide and ready to present it to you.
