Middle Management Institute

The TACAC Middle Management Institute (MMI) is a professional development program designed for both current and aspiring managers working in higher education. Attendees have three to five years of experience and are looking to grow as leaders in their career.

TACAC’s MMI commits to addressing three main themes from a managerial perspective each year:

  1. How we work with students in the college admissions and counseling profession
  2. How we work with other professionals
  3. How we work on ourselves both personally and professionally

MMI is a cohort-style program centered on building TACAC leaders. Participants will attend four robust virtual sessions throughout the year, and complete their experience with an in-person session at the annual TACAC conference. MMI attendees will engage in dynamic educational sessions and collaborative learning experiences between program participants. Attendees will hear from leaders in the field  and get hands-on experiences that will prepare them for management in higher education.
